    Life

Have been really busy for the past weeks ever since our Sweet Attic website finally launched her 1st batch of clothes. I was so energetic at night but when it comes to morning, i was so tired to the extend that i need to drag myself out of bed to go to work  Hope as times go by, i will recharge myself and have the energy back.

This is an interesting article which i found randomly & would like to share:-

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life.

We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more informa tion, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete…

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because t hat is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.

Remember, to say, ‘I love you’ to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

    AND ALWAYS REMEMBER

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away…

    Celebrating The Singapore Spirit

I know that i had been disappearing for sometime but now i'm finally back to write on this blog again. Life had been busy as many of you are aware that my petite princess had make her way out to see the world on the 5th of April. This sweetie pie is now 3 months old and she is a real joy not only to us but to the entire family. Her smile can really melt your heart! Will post some of her sweetest photos soon, so stay tuned.

Last Saturday, managed to get the NDP Preview ticket from Shan (my bro) to watch the parade live. This is the 1st time that my mum and I went to see the NDP. We brought Rand along with us and although we only had 2 entrance passes, we managed to make our way in as we agrued with the poor army boy that we only got 2 tickets but yet we can't left the young little boy at home alone. When we finally managed to enter, we had to walk all the way into the green zone to collect the bread which is meant for our dinner and the goodie bags. Then we had to climb the stairs all the way up for our seats as the ushers want all the upper seats to be occupied first (really exhasting). When we finally had our seats, i can't believe that the view is so beautiful. It had a triple-tiered stage which allow the performers to have more movement opportunities and the pave way for the upcoming F1 race will allow the landing of the Red Lions (12 elite jumpers) just meters away from the audience. As usual, i am very excited over pasting the tattoos for Rand and Mummy then blowing all the hands and bats float for them. When i'm finally done, i'm busy snapping away with my camera taking photos.

The mood is indeed high as the hosts bring the audience to participate in the Singapore Cheer and huge balloons were being thrown down from the top so we need to bring it and roll it down to the front audience. Next, together in the seating gallery, all spectators will to present a giant birthday card for our nation. What excites us the most is the Red Lions and the Black Knights Aerial Display. You won't believe your eyes that they are so well trained and experience. I really salute them and in my heart, i really hope that my son, Rand will become one of them in the future, making us proud, making the nation proud  However, we did not managed to see Shan who is marching under the guards unit but we also did not stay till the show ended. We make our way and leave around 8.00pm. But we are quite lucky as we managed to catch the fireworks while we were walking towards Marina Square

Then Ron drove over to pick us up at Marina Square and we had our local food dinner back home which consist of fry hokkein prawn mee, cha kuay teow, fried carrot cake, chicken wings, oh... Yummy Yummy!

Happy 43rd Birthday, Singapore, Our Nation! We are thankful that we are not devastated by natural calmities like earthquakes, typhoons. Instead we experience peace, prosperity and progress because we, Singaporeans, regardless of race, language or religion are willing to put aside differences to work together as one.

  • Brand New Year, 2008

Year 2007 passed just like this! I did not really celebrate the countdown. But had a last 2007 dinner with my family. We will at City Plaza in the day then went down to Suntec City for dinner. After dinner at Peppery Lunch, we had our mudpies dessert at NYDC, follow by took some last 2007 photos then we headed to buy MacDonalds to buy some supper to Godparent's house for the countdown. Unlike last time, I always look forward to celebration parties and countdown. Maybe as we grow older, we see life at a different view. Thinking back, throughout the year of 2007, it seems that i didn't do much. Life is as normal as usual, only difference is i'm pregnant again with a baby gal. I really need to think and decide what should i do after i give birth. Do I still want to waste my time to work as an secretary sitting in the office from Mon-Fri, 8.30-6.00pm? I'm getting old, be turning into 30 in a year's time. I do not have the time or youth to waste anymore. Can someone please guide me, enlighten me!!!

    我已经学习到了做人很多时候,很多事情我們還是不要知道得太多 , 聽得太多 , 懂得太多 , 看得太清楚 . 这只会让自己更不快樂,更烦! 不是嗎?

  • Have a holly, jolly Christmas!

Christmas Eve this year is memorable as we're celebrating together with Mummy. The only family that can't join us this year is the "Limau Walk" family as they are all away on a cruise. I'm so happy to get half day off that day which allow me some time to buy the final presents for Grandma and Godma. As me and Rand fell sick since Friday, this made me unable to shop for presents on the weekends. After work on Christmas Eve, rush down to Vivo to buy the presents then headed straight home. Immediately, took a shower and got all dress up for the dinner at Sizzler, Suntec City. We meet all the family members at Sizzler then after a nice and delicious dinner, we attended the Christmas Mass @ Holy Family Church at 9pm. Soon after, we proceed to Marine Terrace (Godparents house) to continue our night of celebrations.

Christmas Day was spent at Uncle Tom's house playing mahjong and California Pizza :)

I love Christmas and May Everyone enjoy this "special festival of giving" together with me. God Bless!

Lastly, I would like to thank my families and friends for all the wonderful and lovely gifts that they had got for me.

  • Mickey's Magic Show

Brought Rand to watch the 1st show of Disney Live! Mickey's Magic Show on 16 November. This evening, i told my boss that i had to left the office earlier as i'm afraid that we will be late for the show as it started at 6.30pm. Ron bought me Subway sandwiches for my dinner so i ate it while he is driving to the Indoor Stadium. By the time, we reached there, we are just right in time for the show. Rand is so excited and kept saying that he likes Mickey Mouse . Ron bought him a goofy sword too as he likes it so much. Overall, the show is quite enjoyable. It features Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy as well as Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Princess Jasmine, Snow White and Belle. The two illusionists, Brad Ross and Alex Gonzalez are good and fun. Personally, i like the parts with fascinating magical effects, such as Minnie, Princess Jasmine and the blooms floating in the air, Fairy Godmother transforming Cinderella from rags to riches. Cinderella is so beautiful

So, if you had the time, go catch "Disney Live! Mickey's Magic Show" with your family, which starts on the November 16 till the November 25th. It is definitely worth the money.
